Langtang Trek

Overview: 
        The Langtang Trek falls under Langtang National Park.Langtang is a region in the north-central Himalayas of the Bagmati Province of Nepal. Situated 51 kilometres north of the Kathmandu Valley, the region is renowned for hosting the Langtang national park which eventually constitutes the border with the Tibet autonomous region of China. About 4,500 people reside inside the park (with Tamang as majority), and many more depend on it for timber and firewood.    

        The park contains a wide variety of climatic zones, from subtropical to alpine.
Approximately 25% of the park is forested. Trees include the deciduous oak and maple, 
evergreens like pine, and various types of rhododendron. Animal life includes the 
Himalayan black bear, Himalayan tahr, Assam macaque, snow leopard, yak, red panda and 
more than 250 species of birds.[2] There are also stories of Yeti sightings
        
 The ascend and descend beside the wild rivers and the forest make up this trail.Its a diverse trekking route.

Day 1:
  • Kathmadu - Syabrubesi(1450 m) : 6-7 Hrs Ride
Day 2:
  • Syabrubesi - Bamboo(1980 m)  :3-4 Hrs
  • Bamboo - Lama Hotel (2480 m): 3 Hrs
  • Lama Hotel - Ghoda Tabela (3048 m) :2 Hrs
Day 3:
  • Ghoda Tabela - Langtang Valley(3307 m) :3-4 Hrs
  • Langtang Valley - Kanjin Gompa(3798 m) :3-4 Hrs
Day 4:
  • Langtang Valley Tour
  • Visit to Local Cheese Factory
  • Local Monastery
Day 5:
  • Langtang Valley -  Pairo/Landslide(1800 m) :8-9 Hrs
Day 6: 
  • Pairo/Landslide - Syabrubesi(1450 m) : 3-4 Hrs
Day 7: 
  • Syafru Besi - Kathmandu :6-7 Hrs Ride
Attractions Enroute:
  • Langtang National Park
  • Yak Cheese Factory
  • Ganesh Himal and few other famous peaks around Langtang regions
  • Tamang and Sherpa Heritage/Culture.
Notes:
  • Take warm clothes.
  • Take medicines/ointment/bandages/spray for Altitude sickness,external injuries,sprains etc.
  • Don't forget to carry Snickers and Chocolate bars.
  • There is a divergent after Pairo/Landslide to Gosaikunda Trek.
